Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away (2012) Plot Summary
The sand of the skating rink offers approach and she or he follows him down the hole, as it were, into a parallel universe wherever she meets that madly prancing clown (John Clarke). He escorts her through a series of fantastical realms inhabited by trampolining superheroes, riderless tricycles and big flexile spiders from the company’s Las Vegas shows, together with O, Mystere, Believe and test LSD (blessedly, no singer – The Immortal World Tour, as that might be simply weird.)
As she wanders through these dreamscapes clutching an ad of The acrobat to her chest, Lentia alternates eye-widening with theatrical brow-furrowing. Let’s simply say that as associate degree actor, she’s a decent athlete, that is created clear within the resplendently romantic finale.
The brow-furrowing is comprehensible , though, as, like most absentmindedly mystical cwm stage shows, the action follows the logic of a dream.
Bland, artificial world muzak rotates with peppier tunes from LSD and also the rock group, adding to the sense of disconnect between the otherwise themed vignettes, that Adamson shot at varied Las Vegas stage shows.
Still, the unifying accomplishment is within the giddy acrobatics, sleek sexual desire and heart-stopping feat of the performers, also because the perpetually luxurious, transportingly immersive picture taking. Written by Irza
